Chris,
The following is an update on City maintenance efforts to further diagnose and correct odor problems in the Cypress Hills area:
- Work is continuing on raising the manhole (previous buried) to appropriate grade. The first section has been added to the existing manhole and backfill has been placed for the next section.
- A battery pack is ordered for the gas detector and should be here early next week.
- The broken camera is being returned for repair. Estimated return time is not known at this time.
- Due to the finding of the buried manhole and some staffing issues, the hydroflushing of the system had to be delayed. The crew has been authorized to perform the hydroflush cleaning of the sewer line in question, and not wait for the completion of the TV inspection. Depending on staffing availabilities, the hydroflush should take place sometime next week.
